Hole 8 – Delnies
Par 4 | Stroke Index 6
Short par four that usually plays down wind and is almost driveable. However with a green that slopes front to back this is the most difficult approach on the course. This is a typical tricky seaside links hole. It rarely plays long but the best players are happy to make par.
Short par four that usually plays down wind and at times almost drivable makes this a seemingly obvious birdie opportunity. However the upturned saucer shaped green which slopes away from the front to the back, makes this the most difficult approach shot on the course. The approach is best from the left side of the fairway avoiding the carry over the deep greenside bunker right. This is a typical tricky seaside links hole. It is often easier played into the wind but even the best players are content with a par.
