WITH SPECTACULAR VIEWS OVER THE MORAY FIRTH, THE NAIRN GOLF CLUB IS A TRADITIONAL LINKS COURSE SET IN THE STUNNING HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND.
Nestling on the banks of what has been voted one of the top 20 most beautiful coastlines in the world by National Geographic as well as enjoying a great round of golf, you may even spot bottlenose dolphins and many seals.
The course itself is ranked as one of the top 20 golf courses in Scotland and has been honoured to host a number of prestigious events over the years.
PLAYING THE COURSE
We welcome visitors to the course seven days a week.
Visitor Tee Times:
- Mon – Fri 10am – 11.50am 1.30-3.50pm
- Sat/Sun 1pm onwards.
Maximum handicap for men is 28 and ladies 36.
Junior golfers (under 18 years of age) must have a handicap of 18 or less to play on the Championship Course.
Pace of play: We suggest that 4-4 ½ hours should be allowed to complete the course.
USGA Slope Rating: White tees – 134; Yellow tees – 131
- Adult visitor: £120 April & October
- Adult visitor: £155 May to September
- Junior Visitor (18 years &under) – £60
- Two round ticket: £240 (May to September)
Nairn Golf Club boasts a beautiful restaurant, lounge and bar all with panoramic views over the course. The lounge and restaurant in particular offer uninterrupted views of the Moray Firth and guests can enjoy coffee and cake, light bites or a full dining experience in the restaurant.
Other services and facilities include; visitors’ locker room, driving range, caddies and forecaddies, buggy hire, electric trolleys, push trolleys and club hire.
At Nairn Golf Course, our guests will get to delve into the history of our Club in a visit to our unique museum of artefacts, pictures, documents and golfing memorabilia dating back to the earliest days of the Club.
Now boasting its own Nairn Golf Club tartan, the Pro Shop is comprehensively stocked with well-known, high quality brands of clothing and equipment.
COURSE CLOSURES FOR 2020
- Monday July 27 to Friday July 31 – Nairn Open Amateur Competition
- Monday August 10 to Sunday August 23 – Course maintenance
- Monday October 26 to Wednesday October 28 – Course maintenance
Usual Golf Club dress code applies – no denim or collarless shirts; no metal spikes in the Clubhouse; no soft spikes/golfing footwear in the Whitelaw Lounge or dining room; hats must not be worn in the Clubhouse. Tailored shorts are permitted on the Golf Course & in the Clubhouse. Full details of our dress code available on request.
PAYMENT TERMS (Updated in light of the current situation with Coronavirus
We don’t take holding deposits, but full payment is required a minimum of 30 days prior to the date of play by either credit/debit card or Amex, direct bank transfer (account details available on request) or cheque.
CANCELLATION POLICY (updated in light of the current situation with coronavirus)
We do not want anyone to lose their money as a result of this situation, so once green fees have been paid our cancellation policy will be:
If our Government suspends travel into/around the UK then we will refund in full no matter how close to the date of play.
If it is the visitor’s country of origin that suspends/advises against travel out of that country, or if the airline cancels flights because of Covid 19 then we will offer a credit of the full amount of the green fees and there will be no expiry date and no additional green fee to be paid in the event of our green fees going up.
If travel is still permitted/possible but individual golfers have to cancel due to illness, or risk of illness due to the virus, we will offer to re-schedule or issue a credit as above.
